"Curiosities of the Ruthless Roupell Street" is the result of our end of year project for our third year at Escape Studios.

 

In our groups, we were tasked with coming up with an idea for a short film and then producing/creating all the assets to complete this project from brief, story boarding, previsualisation to final creation including all promotional materials for release.

"An unknowing man’s life is turned upside down as he finds himself staring into a door to another world, following his journey across relentless streets, where oddities occur on every corner."

During this project - we received feedback from the visual effects company "Framestore" which we implemented throughout the course of producing and creating "Curiosities of the Ruthless Roupell Street". 

 

For this project - I was tasked with creating the atmospheric FX (Fog and Smoke elements) for the opening shots of the film. To do this, I utilised Houdini's volume and pyro workflows.
